Chartering & Business Development Executive
Job Purpose / Job Scope
- Participate in the entire business development process, daily activities; in relation to the Company’s own vessels as well as 3rd party vessels.
Job Content / Duties & Responsibilities
- Prepare presentations to share ideas and findings as and when required; Participate in daily chartering and business development activities for the Company’s vessels and 3rd party vessels, monitoring deliverables and ensuring timely project completion.
- Handle incoming calls, emails, and tenders, coordinating with departments to prepare documents for submission, updating Management on tender status, dateline, and submission record.
- The individual manages the entire tender submission process, including developing response formats, pricing matrix, and handling queries, ensuring strict adherence to tender submission deadlines.
- The individual is responsible for providing requested information and data to bid owners, product and industry vertical managers, and tender management for the development of bids.
- Maintains and updates records of all bids, using company documentation, charter contract documents, tender bid and pricing database for market intelligence and competition analysis.
- Attend meetings, conferences, and industry events, gather critical information from stakeholders, and produce useful reports as needed.
- Ensure compliance with global tender management process and adherence to the Company code of conduct and other policy
- Bridge with other department team to support other department team whenever required, such as operations and AC dept for JCT, CPC and claim, legal for contract, procurement, or project;
- Assist other departments with document safekeeping, licensing updates, and monitoring all-vessels certifications, ensuring they are in valid status.
- To Perform relevant ad hoc duties given by the superior from time to time.
Knowledge & Skill
i. Education / Professional Qualification
- Bachelor Degree or equivalent in Business Admin/ Sales & Marketing/ Tender/ Finance or other relevant.
ii. Professional Experience or Skill
- Minimum 1 year of working experience in relevant field;
- Skilled in Business Administration/Sales & Marketing, capable of conducting marketing research and creating actionable strategies, collaborating with internal and interdepartmental teams;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Software applications, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, is required;
- The individual should have a mature personality, strong work ethic, quick thinking, excellent interpersonal and organizational skills, excellent communication, and command of both verbal and written English and Bahasa Malaysia;
- Confident and comfortable handling with confidential data and strong passion for accuracy and detail-oriented;
- Team player with strong self-motivation and self-disciplined, able to travel and work in a team-based environment;
- Knowledge in account management, finance & good business practice market (Customers, Competitors, Suppliers) is an added advantage
- Knowledge with OSV Chartering, tender bids flow and responsible of analyze tenders and producing quality bid submission for the Company via client tender process to enable profitable business wins will be added advantages.
